About this development
Hays Galleria was initially a brew house in 1651, then converted into a wharf in 1840 and now serves as an important tourist attraction point along the river and contains a vast array of office, retail and a small luxury block of residential apartments.
Hays Galleria is made of two oppositely facing buildings connected by the entrance building, which forms a courtyard with its unique architecture. One building is residential and the other office based, each composed of 5 floors. The building was designed by Twigg Brown architects who created an impressive building that reminiscent of the old Victorian Railway buildings. In the middle of the Galleria there is a sculpture of ‘The Navigators’, a bronze ship that immortalizes the Galleria’s Shipping origin.
The development has both one and two bedroom apartments and also offers spacious duplex apartments. Its design is attractive and modern. It is surrounded by a huge choice of facilities, including good restaurants, cafes, clothing and other boutique retail outlets, which attracts both tourists and local workers, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
The apartments have been given a high standard of specification with a tasteful design that allows the modern and period features to mix perfectly. The apartments benefit from views over the stunning courtyard market area with side aspects over the river or towards the modern buildings of More London.
