County Hall is a stunning residential development ideally situated opposite the Houses of Parliament in a perfect location on London's Southbank. The original development of this imposing landmark building, designed by Ralph Knott, started in 1911. However the intervention of two World Wars prevented its completion until 1958. County Hall was for many years the seat of London government and formerly the London County Council; and latterly the Greater London Council (GLC) and Inner London Education Authority (ILEA). The development was then converted from offices to over 600 glamorous apartments in 1998 by developer Galliard Homes.
The development is split into four blocks and offers a range of apartments in both the converted blocks North Block & South Block and two additional purpose built blocks that were added during the conversion East Block & West Block. The development also offers its residents use of the Gym, Spa and swimming pool and many of the apartments benefit from secure underground parking. The development also benefits from the many restaurants and cafes located on site such as Yo Sushi, Starbucks and many more.
| Location: | County Hall is located on the south side Westminster Bridge on the banks of The River Thames. This enviable location is within easy walking distance of The London Eye, The Houses of Parliament, Saatchi Gallery, The London Aquarium and the buzz of The Royal Festival Hall |
| Transportation Links: | The development also offers easy access to great transport links such as Waterloo Station that offers both overground and underground rail services and Westminster Underground Station. |
